Zathras

From The Great Machine

The family of Zathras are of the same species all with similar (and to the human ear, indistinguishable) names. They are servants of The Great Machine on Epsilon 3, where they first served Varn and later Draal.

The beings named Zathras are all members of the species known only as Zathri, and are all clones.

One of the Zathras' leaves the planet to bring Time Stabilizers to a White Star carrying Delenn, Captain Sheridan, Jeffrey Sinclair, and a number of the Babylon 5 command staff. This Zathras then stayed on Babylon 4 to assist in pulling the station back through time to aid in the last shadow war, a thousand years before.

During this mission, Captain Sheridan's time stabilizer is damaged and he becomes unstuck in time, drifting forward and backward, viewing events that have not yet come and events that may never come. Sinclair stabilizes the station in the Earth year 2258 so that the crew can be evacuated. Delenn places her stabilizer onto Sheridan and Zathras manages to repair Delenn's stabilizer. Zathras and Sinclair then accompany the station back in time while Sheridan, Delenn, and the others escape.

Another Zathras helped Commander Ivanova transfer power from The Great Machine to Babylon 5 so that their counter-propoganda broadcast, the Voice of the Resistance, could be spread all the way to Earth.
