William Hague

General William Hague (played by Robert Foxworth) was the Chairman of the Earthforce Joint Chiefs of Staff during the administrations of Presidents Santiago and Clark and a conspirator in the plot to overthrow President Clark and return EarthGov to its democratic roots.

In 2259, General Hague assigned Captain John Sheridan to command of Babylon 5 and tasked him to determine the loyalty of its command staff to the principles of the Earth Alliance. Under Hague's prodding, Sheridan recruited the command staff in the cause of the resistance and set in motion the events that would erupt in outright revolt in 2260 (see Severed Dreams).

General Hague died in the revolt of 2260 before he saw his plans completed, but John Sheridan carried on to victory in his place.
