Tim Choate, 1954-2004. Actor Tim Choate, perhaps best recognized by Babylon 5 fans as the much-put-upon Zathras, has died from injuries sustained in an accident; according to Patricia Tallman's Galactic Gateway web site, he was struck by a car while riding his motorcycle. He was a veteran of numerous TV guest appearances, including Murder She Wrote, Coach, Frasier, Diagnosis: Murder, The Practice, Dark Skies, and a different guest role on the Babylon 5 spinoff series Crusade; he had a long-running recurring role during the early years of the soap opera The Bold And The Beautiful. On film, he appeared in Pearl Harbor, Def-Con 4, Soapdish and many others. Mr. Choate was 49 years old, and is survived by his wife and son. Sources: Galactic Gateway, Internet Movie Database
