Babylon 5 and related names are trademarks of Time Warner Entertainment Co and are used under "fair use" guidelines. This material can only be duplicated if the duplicater follows the fair use guidelines.

In general, any and all text submitted to The Great Machine is part of the Public Domain, and as such can be used by anyone for non-profit use. Trademarked material may be included with submitted text. This material falls under the "trademarked names" guidelines and should be duplicated only under fair use guidelines.
Images
Images fall into three categories:
- Public domain materials
- Copyrighted materials
- Fair Use materials (also copyrighted)
Public Domain Materials
These materials are items released by their author under the GPL, Creative Commons, or other public domain license. All such materials should provide a reference back to the original author unless that author is unknown. The copyright on such materials must remain under the public domain.
Copyrighted Materials
These materials have been granted permission to be displayed on The Great Machine. Copyright is retained by the original author and the original author must be noted on all such materials. If permission is not granted these materials are not legal to be posted and will be removed should the author inform The Great Machine about the infringement. These materials may not be transfered to any other website without original author's permission.
Fair Use Materials
These items generally originate from Babylon 5 DVDs or other such materials. In these cases copyright is owned by Time Warner Entertainment Co and are used under "fair use" guidelines. Excessive use of such materials is to be avoided. These materials may not be transfered to any other website.
