Should we copy all the character descriptions from the unspoiled page to here? -- MikhailM

Yeah - with appropriate wikilinks --Randomchaos 14:56, 14 Apr 2005 (CDT)

I was pondering the lack of any information from the Babylon 5 Roleplaying Game by Mongoose Publishing. This game consists of numerous sourcebooks approved by JMS featuring extremely detailed break-downs on the history and technology of all the B5 races, including many things that were never seen on screen. Given its canonical nature, surely such information could be filtered into the B5 Wiki? If for whatever reason it couldn't, than certainly the game should be at least worthy of acknowledgement somewhere? --Werthead 18:43, 13 May 2006 (CDT)

Actually, the cannonicity is not quite clear at the moment. The reason we've avoided the RPG sourcebooks is because whether they're canon or not is up in the air. So rather than assume they are and eventually have to clean up a mess, we're taking the safe road until it's been discussed by the man himself a little bit more. --Sanfam 14:16, 14 May 2006 (CDT)
Ah, interesting. I did note that there were differences between the Mongoose RPG and the earlier Titan RPG (broadly they kept the same timeline but had different maps and ship descriptions, etc). I also note that the Mongoose RPG does have an introduction by JMS and that the books acknowledge the contributions of Fiona Avery (who, last I heard, was in charge of maintaining B5 canon consistency across different media). OTOH, I understand the need for further clarification from JMS on this issue since some of the stuff in the RPG books is bound to be mildly controversial (the extremely involved nature of the Vorlons' interference in Minbari history certainly came as a surprise to me!) and there are a few niggling inconsistencies between dates in the RPG and dates on the DVDs etc. Has there been any attempt by the people here to contact JMS (or, probably more easily, Mongoose Publishing)? I'm sure he'd approve of any attempt to keep an index of B5 materials on the web and he has a regular web presence answering questions etc. --Werthead 17:38, 24 May 2006 (CDT)

[edit] Episode Summaries

This was something I saw on Memory Alpha, a Star Trek wiki. They actually have breakdowns of all the episodes by teaser, acts 1-4, and the conclusion. I was wondering if that was something we would want to try on this wiki with the B5 episodes. I realize that it would be tragic spoilers for anyone who had not seen those episodes, but then again the show has been over for many years now and the story is essentially finished. I thought of this the other day when I started watching season 1 again. I believe it would be beneficial to those who do not own the series and can't see it on television to get an idea of the story points that they have missed. Just a suggestion. What do the rest of you think of it? --Keno 16:27, 16 May 2006 (CDT)

That would be neat to do. When I wrote the episode descriptions for Seasons 1 and 2, I was trying to summarize the main points of the episode without actually telling the story of the episode. I was also trying to get them done as fast as possible :). --Random Chaos 07:25, 17 May 2006 (CDT)
While it's not a vote, I vote in support of this! Also, my vote counts as (1+however many votes are needed to win) votes, so I win by default! (or at least I think I do...) -Sanfam 01:38, 20 May 2006 (CDT)
