Talia Winters
From The Great Machine
Talia Winters is a commercial telepath and member of the Psi Corps assigned to Babylon 5. Her psi rating is P5.
Like most, if not all, Psi Corps members, Talia was raised by the Corps. An older telepath named Abby was assigned to guide Talia through the early days of her life with the Corps. When she was older, Talia had romantic affairs with at least two other telepaths. One, Jason Ironheart, was one of her instructors. The other was Matthew Stoner, whom she eventually married and divorced.
After leaving the academy to work as a commercial telepath, Talia met and worked with a businessman named Taro Isogi.
Later, Talia was assigned to Babylon 5. During the nearly two years she spent on Babylon 5, Talia slowly came to be trusted by Ivanova, despite Ivanova's hatred of the Psi Corps.
Talia is unknowingly involved in a scheme by the Psi Corps to spy on high-ranking Babylon 5 officials through a dormant personality that resides within her. This plot is eventually uncovered, and Talia's alternate personality revealed, when Lyta Alexander comes aboard with knowledge of it. The alternate personality, once exposed, took complete control over Talia, destroying her original personality. With her cover blown, Talia left the station. Bester later alluded to Talia's "dissection," but it's unclear whether he was simply trying to provoke a reaction, or whether the Psi Corps really did dissect and study her.
