The Minbari are an older species well established in the galaxy. Their territory is known as the Minbari Federation.

The Minbari are bipedal mammals with an extremely strong endoskeleton and can be recognized by their bald heads and the protruding bone crest, which frames the back of the head and neck. They are commonly called boneheads by humans because of this.
Skin tone and distinctions in facial characteristics can not be used to identify different races of Minbari.
The Minbari have two sexes, male and female, and reproduce through sexual reproduction. For the most part, Minbari mate for life and it is rare for them to divorce or separate. Minbari females do not have a menstrual cycle like human females. If the female does not become pregnant, the egg is simply reabsorbed into the surrounding tissue of the uterus wall. Mating usually results in a single offspring.
Minbari are deceptively stronger than they appear. This appears to be due to the fact that the Minbari have an extremely dense bone mass and stronger muscles. Minbari also have far greater endurance, able to survive physical damage and go without food longer than the average humanoid.
Minbari also do not perspire, but instead secrete a fluid during their sleep which they wash off with a special fluid each morning.
