Captain Elizabeth Lochley assumed command of Interstellar Alliance station Babylon 5 at the request of ISA President John Sheridan in early 2262.

Like her father, she is career military.

She is confident in her handling of security, and at times claims that "security" is her middle name. (see Note 1)

Spoiler warning: Plot, character development, or ending details follow.

Lochley was married to John Sheridan for a short period of time prior to the Earth-Minbari War. They "fell in love and fell out of love" with one another, though they still held a mutual respect and trust.

Much to Michael Garibaldi's inevitable chagrin, she served on the "other side" during the first Earth Civil War.

Like her father, Lochley was an alcoholic. Her experiences with this affliction were her impetus to aid Garibaldi in his eventual recovery from his relapse into full-blown alcoholism.

[edit] Assignments

In 2267, she was temporarily assigned to oversee the security of the Plague Eradication Management Strategies action conference on Mars at the request of Dr. Stephen Franklin. This gave her impetus to see that a cure would be discovered, so that she could thank him "with a brick". (Ruling from the Tomb)

[edit] Notes

  1. Matthew Gideon later opined that he hoped her last name wasn't "breach". (Ruling from the Tomb)
