Lise Edgars-Garibaldi (née Hampton), played by Denise Gentile, was a Mars native and continuing tragi-romantic interest for Garibaldi throughout the series. She had three husbands and two daughters.

• Born and raised on Mars (self revelation).
• Has known Michael Garibaldi for known each other on and off for something like 15 years (S5E20, Objects in Motion). They've broken up and reunited countless times.
• Married three times:
  • First to Franz in 2258 (S1E19)
  • Second to William Edgars in early 2261 (S4E12, Conflicts of Interest)
  • Finally to Garibaldi in late 2262 (S5E20, Objects in Motion)
• Lost custody of eldest daughter Deborah (born Sept 2258 (S1E19) after divorce from Franz, now living on Earth. (S4E12, Conflicts of Interest). According to Lise, after the divorce Deborah wasn't even told about her.
• Assumed ownership/management of Edgars Industries upon William Edgars' death (S5E15, Darkness Ascending).
• Has second daughter, Mary with Garibaldi (S5E22, Sleeping in Light).

Lise has changed her surname more than almost any other character during the series. She was born Lise Hampton. She did not adopt Franz's surname upon their marriage; she was still known by her maiden name of Hampton in 2258. She then hyphenated her name to Hampton-Edgars in 2261 after marrying William. Garibaldi joked she could become Hampton-Edgars-Garibaldi in S5E20, but sanity obviously prevailed, since during Sleeping in Light Franklin refers to the "Edgars-Garibaldi empire".
