The League of Non-Aligned Worlds was a loosely organized group of the minor races. In 2261, the League was superceded by the Interstellar Alliance.

[edit] History

The League of Non-Aligned Worlds was formed shortly after the Narn drove the Centauri off their world in 2209. The original League members were former subjects of the Centauri. While the Centauri were busy trying to control the Narn, they left these other worlds, which then combined their forces in order to convince the Centauri to leave them alone. The League offered membership to the Narn but this offer was rejected.

The League remained a primarily informal organization until the 2230's, when the Dilgar began their invasion of the League members. The League, while having a unified military force, were unorganized and unable to stop the Dilgar. The League called for help and the Earth Alliance answered. With their assistance, the combined League and Earth forces drove the Dilgar back to their own solar system.

While not offering financial assistance, the League were very much in favour of the Babylon Project since it would give them an unofficial headquarters. When Babylon 5 was completed, the League agreed to work in conjunction with a governing board consisting of ambassadors from the Narn Regime, Centauri Republic, Minbari Federation, Earth Alliance, and Vorlon Empire.
