Jeff Corey, 1914-2002. Legendary actor and acting coach Jeff Corey died on August 16th from injuries sustained in a fall at his home. Corey's storied career not only features guest stints on the original Star Trek (The Cloudminders), Babylon 5 (Z'ha'Dum), The Outer Limits (O.B.I.T.), Beauty And The Beast, the TV revivals of War Of The Worlds and Starman, and numerous other TV series, but roles in Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid, Battle Beyond The Stars, True Grit, Beneath The Planet Of The Apes, and enough other films to fill this whole page. In 1951, when asked by the House Un-American Activities Committee to point the finger at suspected Communist sympathizers in Hollywood, Corey refused and was blacklisted for over a decade. During that time he became an acting coach, with his students including Leonard Nimoy, Anthony Perkins, Jack Nicholson, Robin Williams, Carol Burnett and Rob Reiner, among many others. Source: iMDB
