Following the battle, the station was informed that any ship attempting to land on the planet would be destroyed.
  • A tachyon surge has been detected near Babylon 5. All shipping interests are to pay special attention to local bulletins. An Earthforce Admiral made this unofficial statement: "For reasons unknown at the time, Babylon 4 has suddenly reappeared at its previous location. Presented with this opportunity, a rescue operation was undertaken by neighboring station, Babylon 5. We are pleased to announce the recovery of the entire staff of Babylon 4. However, directly following this rescue, the station abruptly vanished again in what investigators are calling a temporal flux. We intend to pursue this to the best of our abilities, but at the moment have no further knowlege of what has afflicted the station known as Babylon 4."
  • President Luis Santiago died aboard Earth Force One in an explosion at the transfer point off Io. On December 31st near midnight, Earth Standard Time, Earth Force One suffered a critical structural failure, causing what investigators have dubbed "a catastrophic loss of structural integrity, leading to implosion." Shortly following the event, President Morgan Clark, on leave with a severe case of the flu, was officially sworn in. This is truly a day of mourning for a man who has done so much to further the cause of peace. Memorial services will begin in Geneva within the next two days.
