IAS Victory

The Interstellar Alliance destroyer Victory is the first of two Victory class destroyers to have been built. The second being the Victory's sister ship, the IAS Excalibur.

The Victory was meant to be the first destroyer-class ship to replace the slowly depleting White Star fleet, as well as to fulfill a larger role in the Ranger/IA fleet. (A Call to Arms)

In 2267, the Victory was commandeered by Captain Leonard Anderson, Anderson's executive officer, and the crew from the EAS Charon.

The Victory, with the Excalibur (under the command of IA President John Sheridan), participated in the battle against the Drakh near Earth in 2267.

It was destroyed with all hands through a kamikaze action. This action destroyed the Death Cloud's control center and prematurely activated the Shadows' doomsday machine, which lead to its full and complete elimination as a threat. (A Call to Arms)
