General

A General is a flag officer usually in command of an army's ground forces. The rank of General may have various prefixes (i.e. Major General) or suffixes (i.e. General of the Army) to denote lower or higher grades of General than this rank alone. The naval equivalant to a General is an Admiral.

In the Earth Alliance military, the rank of General is given to officers who tend to be involved in the tactical level of Earthforce. Most Generals command the EA Ground Forces but some Generals do command Fleet vessels.
