Dureena Nafeel

Dureena Nafeel (Carrie Dobro) was born on Zander Prime. Through a series of events, explained below, she joined the ISA Excalibur's crew in 2267 (Racing the Night, A Call to Arms).

She was sold off by her parents into slavery, which is how she escaped Zander Prime. (The Needs of Earth).

After her homeworld was destroyed by the Shadows during the Shadow War in 2261, she grew to hate Interstellar Alliance President John Sheridan. She was "summoned" by Galen to space station Babylon 5, where she met Sheridan. Sheridan had revealed to her that the White Star fleet was so stretched that even had they gotten to Zander Prime, they would be unable to take on the Death Cloud.

She was instrumental in finding out the operations center of the Death Cloud, reasoning that the Drakh think as thieves do (i.e. "The valuables would be in a book next to a safe and not in the safe itself.", A Call to Arms).

She is a member of the Thieves' Guild and has a fairly large record. There isn't a lock made that she cannot circumvent, whether directly or indirectly, which she proved when Gideon was briefed on Mars regarding the Excalibur and her mission (A Call to Arms, War Zone).

She likes everything small, including her furnishings, and does not understand why anyone would like everything to be big (The Well of Forever).

She never learned to dance, until Max Eilerson taught her in the Canal Bar on Mars (Ruling from the Tomb).
