[edit] Overview

Little is known about the Drakh before their actions in 2261. Servants of the Shadows, the Drakh were instrumental in their real-world operations. Designing the weapons and building the ships, they provided the capacity for the Shadows to wage their war.

[edit] Drakh Races

The term Drakh does not appear to refer to an individual species, but rather a consortium of sorts. In the many encounters with the Drakh, we've seen no less than three distinctly different varieties, with no apparent relationship between them outside of collaboration towards the greater goal of their masters. For the sake of clarity, this article will handle the various entities as Drakh Races.

[edit] History - 2261 to Present

When the Shadows went beyond the rim on 2261, they remained on Z'Ha'Dum for a period of at most a few weeks, then finally fled the world shortly before it self-destructed. In late 2261, the Drakh returned, attacking toward the edge of Minbari space. This resulted in the destruction of one Drakh Carrier.

In 2262, after their defeat at Minbari hands, they moved in on the Centauri. After taking control of the Regent Verini with a keeper, the Drakh moved to position themselves for a longterm stay on Centauri Prime. To do this, the Drakh began the ISA-Centauri War which resulted in the bombing of the Centauri homeworld and the capitulation of the Centauri government.

In late 2262, following this surrender, Londo Mollari becomes Emperor of the Centauri under the control of a keeper. Knowing Sheridan would be having a son, he implants a keeper, at the behest of the Drakh, into a gift for the unborn child. It is unknown what the result of this action was.

In order to disrupt the ISA, the Drakh release a Shadow nano-plague into Earth's atmosphere. The exact conclusion of this attack is not fully known, though it is clear that a cure was found. During these events, several Drakh ships, including a Drakh Mothership, were destroyed.

Later, the Drakh are repelled from Centauri Prime. See The Centauri Trilogy:
