An ancient Centauri dueling society, its name means "proud knives."

All members of the Couro Prido have fighting names, names by which they are known to other duelists.

The challege of Morago between two Couro Prido duelists means a fight to the death, and can be initiated by one threatening the other with a drawn coutari.
