The Condor Class transport is responsible for transporting infantry soldiers into battle. Each Condor Class vessel is capable of carrying up to 5000 soldiers.
In 2259, five Condor Class transports and one Nova Class dreadnought arrived at Babylon 5. They were transporting the 356th Infantry Division to the planet Akdor for Operation Sudden Death. (S2E10, GROPOS)

While the ships were seen on screen the class name of the ships is from the Earthforce Sourcebook. The Sourcebook also says that each ship can only carry 450 soldiers but that does not account for their being 25,000 GROPOS on Babylon 5. -- Nwobkwr 15:45, 26 Aug 2005 (CDT)
