Centaurum

The senatorial body of the Centauri Republic. The Centaurum was often overshadowed by the Centauri Royal Court, but was needed to set the seal of approval on the ascension of someone (as in the case of Londo Mollari) to the throne. It could also approve that a Regent take the throne as an interim measure when deciding on a new Emperor.

The Centarum can only overturn the decisions of the Centauri Emperor (or Regent) with a 2/3's majority vote.
