Alien healing device

This device was used used by Dr. Laura Rosen in late 2258 in Down Below.

It essentially transfers life energy from one being to another. Originally designed as a capital punishment device, Dr. Rosen obtained it and put it to use healing those that were sick at the risk of her own health. When she was attacked by Karl Mueller she used the device to kill him in order to save her daughter, Janice Rosen. Dr. Franklin confiscated the device following that incident.

It remained in safe keeping of the station throughout the Shadow War until near the end of the Earth Civil War when Susan Ivanova was critically injured. Marcus Cole hunted through station records until he located the the device and headed back to Babylon 5. He used it to save Ivanova, sacrificing his life in the process.
